It’s perfectly timed as Monday’s weather likely had you thinking of the famous Christmas song “Let It Snow,” especially the line, “Oh, the weather outside is frightful.”
After a flip-flop in weather, from the weekend warmth to the coldest temperatures of the season, we are bracing for an active December. The latest outlook from the Climate Prediction Center indicates the month will be slightly wetter and warmer than normal.
High temperatures will be seasonal on Tuesday with most locations seeing sunshine, light winds and temperatures in the mid-60s.
We’ll wake up on Tuesday with a mostly clear sky and temperatures in the low to mid-30s for much of the region. A ridge of high pressure will take over with plenty of sunshine.

"Police searching for missing 18-year-old camper at Lake Georgetown" Austin American-Statesman's Claire Osborn – Police are searching for a missing camper at Lake Georgetown. Kenley Bommarito, 18, was camping with a friend and was last seen at the campsite at 10 p.m. Friday, police said.
"All evidence indicates that Kenley has not left the area of the lake but we are not ruling out anything," said a social media post from Georgetown police.
Police Chief Cory Tschida said Monday that Bommarito had left behind his car and his cell phone. Authorities are searching for him with dogs, drones and a helicopter, said Tschida. Dive teams and Texas Search and Rescue also are looking for Bommarito, the police chief said.
Lake Georgetown is in a remote area about six miles northwest of Georgetown. Police did not release further details Monday.
Anyone who may have information about Kenley can call Georgetown police at 512-930-3510 or call 911.
